This week at the Key Leads Working Group, we had great fun playing math games. The principals rotated through 5 math centres, playing games for fact fluency in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Most of the games have minimal prep, many only requiring a deck of cards or pair of dice.
A few of the games are attached below.
Fact fluency is important, but excessive worksheets are ineffective. Enage your students with a few simiple games instead of drilling to kill.
If you need help, let me know. I'd be thrilled to come out and get you started.
Happy playing and learning!

Further games I found as freebies on Teacher Pay Teachers. In order to support the authors of these games, please check out their pages and see if there is anything else that would be useful in your schools. Some are paid, but many are free.
