February 19th is fast approaching! Sandra Bighead, Mary Angees and myself will be embarking on a teacher-learning opportunity like no other. We are heading to New Zealand to find out how indigenous culture and language are being embedded into the Modern Learning Environment Schools, most specifically on the North Island in and around Tauranga. For 17 days we will be based in Papamoa while we explore learning on the other side of the world in an attempt to bring their teaching strategies to life in Northwestern Ontario.
